Upon the recommendation of web experts, we recently changed our passwords on a number of Internet accounts. It got us to thinking about the use of passwords.
It so happens that two thousand years ago, we were given our very own password in accessing a heavenly account. The Son of God himself gave it to us. The secret, He said, was to enterHis very own name in the password block – the name of Jesus. It turns out that having Him in our lives and praying in His name opens the vastness of heaven.
Our resolve this New Year is to be in prayer more often. Having the password gives us an incredible privilege. The privilege of being with Him.
May the God of Heaven bless you this Christmas and may your 2011 be blessed and prayerful.
“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14:13-14
